Reykjavik, Reykjanes and Blue Lagoon

REYKJAVIK, REYKJANES & BLUE LAGOON TOUR (8 HOURS)

Blue lagoon spa is the most popular spa in Iceland
Blue lagoon spa is one of the most popular places to visit in Iceland.

We depart Reykjavík for the official residence of the President of Iceland, travelling through the ‘town in the lava’. From here, we join the south coast road, where you will have the opportunity to see a geothermal area, crater lake and eight-hundred-year-old lavafield.

We continue on to the town of Grindavik, to take a closer look at the harbour and old part of the town. After, we stop for around two hours, allowing time for a thermal bath, at the highly-acclaimed Blue Lagoon Spa.

Once showered and changed, we continue the south coast road to the Reykjanes Peninsula lighthouse, lavafields and geothermal powerstation, before making a stop at the Bridge between two continents. This is a symbolic bridge between the American continent and the Europe Asia continent.

Later in the day, we make a stop at the Viking ship ‘Íslendingur’ and Smitsonian Institute Viking exhibition. ‘Íslendingur’ is the name of the Viking Ship replica, which sailed from Iceland to Greenland, and from Greenland to Canada and New York in 2000. The journey was made to commemorate the one-thousand year anniversary of Christianity in Iceland.
